While all the social events (welcome reception and dinner) will take place in the center of Athens, all the conference sessions will take place at the premises of Psychiko College (part of the Hellenic-American Educational Foundation), which is a private school in Psychiko, a suburb of Athens, about 20 to 30 minutes from the city center by car.
There are many hotels in Athens, suitable for different budgets and preferences. Participants should make their own bookings, either directly on hotel websites, or through accommodation booking websites, such as Booking.com, Expedia, or Airbnb.
Since there are no hotels near Psychiko College, any hotel in the city center would be a reasonable choice. Proximity to a Metro station would allow more convenient transportation to the conference venue and around the city. For example, participants could look for hotels in the area around Syntagma Square, the Acropolis Museum, Monastiraki Square, Kolonaki, Megaro Moussikis and other areas (see the map below). There are also hotels at the waterfront suburbs of Athens, but these are a bit further away from the city center and the conference venue.
The conference welcome reception and dinner will be held at places in the city center area, in venues easily accessible from the areas mentioned above. In addition, in the above-mentioned areas there are Metro stations from which the participants can easily access the Metro station “SYNTAGMA”, where conference shuttle busses will be available to transfer participants to the conference venue, or the Metro station “PANORMOU”, which is the closest one to the conference venue. Conference shuttle busses will also be available at Hilton Hotel.
